Summer 6-Week Wheel Throwing Pottery Class (Chicago) — Tuesdays

Looking for more than a one-off class?

A 6-week series to give you more time at the wheel. With only two wheels in the studio, classes stay small and personal, giving you plenty of one-on-one guidance while learning alongside another maker. Whether your goal is a set of matching mugs, a handmade bowl, or just getting more confident on the wheel, each session is paced to support your pottery journey. We'll curate to your goal and skill-level.

Each week builds on the last: there sessions throwing on the wheel, two sessions to trim your work, and the final session for glazing. You’ll leave with pottery that feels like you — meaningful, one-of-a-kind, and full of memory.

• June 23 - NO CLASS - drying weel & bisque firing
• June 30 - Glazing

What’s Included

• Up to 10 lbs of clay; additional clay available for $2/lb.
• A curated lineup of glazes beyond the basics
• All tools, materials, and firings
• Optional open-studio add-on ($35/session)
• Finished pottery ready for pickup in 1-2 weeks
• Relaxed studio vibe and focused instruction

Additional Studio Time: An optional Open Studio add-on for anyone who wants a little more time on the wheel outside of class.

Open Studio will run Thursdays from 4:00–6:00 and Sundays 11:00–1:00. Spots are first come, first served at $35 per session. More details to come once registered for the monthly series.

📅 Booking Policy

Seats are limited (two per class). Because each seat requires preparation and planning, all purchases are final and non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to find someone to take your place for the full series. One missed class may be made up during Open Studio, subject to availability and within the same session period. Additional missed classes cannot be rescheduled or replaced. Thank you for supporting a small studio — this helps keep classes intimate, consistent, and accessible.
